Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Crestwood Comets (Mountain Top, PA), 15-2 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pittston for a Wyoming Valley 2 challenge on Thursday, May 11.

With the loss, Crestwood falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Comets host Berwick (Berwick, PA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 8. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 10-5. Berwick lost 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against North Schuylkill (Ashland, PA)
