Pennsylvania High School Softball - Pine-Richland knocked off by Hempfield Area

May 5, 2023: Greensburg, PA 15601

In Friday's league contest, the Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Pine-Richland Rams (Gibsonia, PA), by a margin of 17-2.

With the triumph, Hempfield Area moves its record to 10-2 on the year. The Spartans host Butler (Butler, PA) to play the Golden Tornado in a WPIAL 6A 1 contest on Wednesday, May 10. The Golden Tornado come into the contest with a record of 1-5.

In their next game, the Rams play the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 1 contest, on Saturday, May 6. Pine-Richland will attempt to move on its 1-8 season record.
