In Friday's non-league outing, the visiting Newton Railroaders softball team scored a nice 15-5 win over the Hutchinson Salthawks.

Coming up next, the Railroaders battle the Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I outing, on Friday, May 6. Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Salthawks enter the outing with a 8-8 record after their 9-3 non-league win over Great Bend (Great Bend, KS).
