Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Byron Tigers (Byron, IL), 13-4 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 8-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dixon for a Big Northern challenge on Tuesday, May 7. Winnebago will face a Dukes & Duchesses squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL). The Dukes & Duchesses record now stands at 8-17.

With the loss, Byron falls to 5-15 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL) to face the Rockets in a Big Northern challenge on Tuesday, May 7. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 11-15. Rock Falls lost 21-11 in their recent league challenge against Oregon (Oregon, IL)
