Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), 8-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Gray's Creek upgrades its record to 21-3 on the year. The Bears host Wakefield (Raleigh, NC) to play the Wolverines in a non-league game on Friday, May 9. The Wolverines enter the game with a record of 21-3. Wakefield won 5-3 in their recent non-league game against Enloe (Raleigh, NC)

The Rams now own a 11-13 record.
