In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Central Montcalm Hornets baseball team scored a close 9-2 victory over the Waverly Warriors.
The Hornets (12-4) will now prepare for their game against Alma (Alma, MI). The Panthers enter the non-league game with a 7-3 record. In their last game, Alma held off Glenn (Bay City, MI), 5-3, in a league game.
Next, the Warriors face the Central Montcalm Hornets (Stanton, MI) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 7. Waverly will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Hornets enter the game with a 11-4 record after their 10-4 non-league win over Beal City (Mt. Pleasant, MI).
