In Monday's league contest, the Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA) softball team overwhelmed the host Mira Loma Matadors (Sacramento, CA), by a margin of 28-0.
With the triumph, Rio Linda moves its record to 15-9 on the year. The Knights host Davis (Davis, CA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 9. In their next game, the Matadors play the Woodland Wolves (Woodland, CA) in a Golden Empire League test, on Wednesday, May 10. Mira Loma will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Wolves come into the test with a 9-11 record after their 22-4 league loss to Casa Roble (Orangevale, CA).
