New York High School Baseball - Valley Central wallops Monticello

The Valley Central Vikings baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Monticello Panthers to 2 in the Vikings league win on Thursday.

The Vikings now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they host Cornwall Central for a Section 9 Orange County II test on Friday, May 9. Valley Central will play a Dragons team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Middletown (Middletown, NY). The Dragons record now stands at 5-6.

With the defeat, Monticello drops to 0-9 on the year. The Panthers travel to Warwick (Warwick, NY) to play the Wildcats in a Section 9 Orange County II test on Friday, May 9. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 5-9. Warwick lost 9-6 in their recent league test against Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY)
