Virginia High School Baseball - Staunton defeats Waynesboro

May 8, 2025: Waynesboro, VA 22980

The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) and the host Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA), saw Staunton's baseball team gain a win over Waynesboro by a tally of 8-2.

The Storm (3-9) will now prepare for their battle against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Cougars enter the non-league battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Alleghany held off Radford (Radford, VA), 10-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Little Giants face the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 10. Waynesboro will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 5-9 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA).
