Illinois High School Softball - Princeville bounces Monmouth United

The Princeville Princes (Princeville, IL) softball routed the host Monmouth United Red Storm (Monmouth, IL), 14-1 in Thursday's league outing.

The Princes now sport a 7-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Deer Creek-Mackinaw for a non-league outing on Friday, May 9. Princeville will encounter a Chiefs team coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Chiefs record now stands at 12-8.

With the loss, Monmouth United moves to 4-22 on the season. The Red storm travel to Stark County (Toulon, IL) to encounter the Rebels in a Lincoln Trail outing on Saturday, May 10. The Rebels come into the outing with a record of 10-12. Stark County lost 10-0 in their recent league outing against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL)
