Massachusetts High School Softball - Newburyport bested by Pentucket Regional

The Pentucket Regional triumphed over the visiting Newburyport Clippers softball squad by a count of 13-1 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the play the North Reading Hornets (North Reading, MA) in a Cape Ann Kinney challenge, on Friday, May 9. Pentucket Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 7-0 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 13-1 league win over Triton Regional (Byfield, MA).

The Clippers (4-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Triton Regional (Byfield, MA). The Vikings enter the Cape Ann Kinney challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Triton Regional overcame Hamilton-Wenham Regional (South Hamilton, MA), 7-6, in a league challenge.
