The Salem Spartans baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting James River Knights to 2 in the Spartans non-league victory on Monday.
The Spartans (10-5) will now prepare for their match against Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Knights go into the River Ridge match with a 11-4 record. In their last match, Cave Spring edged Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA), 6-0, in a league match.
The Knights (9-6) will now prepare for their match against Radford (Radford, VA). The Bobcats go into the Three Rivers match with a 4-6 record.
