The Coventry Oakers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Classical Purples to 1 in the Oakers league victory on Monday.

The Oakers now have a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop Hendricken for a State Championship Division game on Wednesday, May 11. Coventry will meet a Hawks team coming off a 3-0 league win over South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI). The Hawks record now stands at 8-5.

The Purples (2-10) will now prepare for their game against North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI). The Skippers enter the State Championship Division game with a 10-2 record. In their last game, North Kingstown gained a win over Cranston East (Cranston, RI), 3-1, in a league game.
