The Salida Spartans (Salida, CO) baseball nipped the visiting Buena Vista Demons (Buena Vista, CO), 11-10 in Tuesday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Spartans encounter the Lamar Thunder (Lamar, CO) in a 3A Tri-Peaks contest, on Saturday, May 13. Salida will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Thunder come into the contest with a 13-7 record after their 15-7 league loss to La Junta (La Junta, CO).

The Demons now sport a 15-5 record. They play next when they travel to Colorado Springs Christian for a 2A Tri-Peaks contest on Friday, May 12. Buena Vista will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Woodland Park (Woodland Park, CO). The Lions record now stands at 12-5.
