Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bears confront the Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC) in a United Eight 3A/4A challenge, on Thursday, May 11. Gray's Creek will attempt to better on its 18-1 season record. The Colts enter the challenge with a 17-4 record after their 6-2 non-league win over Seventy-First (Fayetteville, NC).

The Buccaneers now have a 14-6 record.
