California High School Softball - Palo Verde Valley topped by Southwest EC

In Tuesday's league contest, the Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets (Blythe, CA), by a margin of 16-6.

With the triumph, Southwest EC moves its record to 11-16 on the year. The Eagles travel to Imperial (Imperial, CA) to play the Tigers in a Desert contest on Thursday, May 11. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 17-5. Imperial won 16-0 in their recent league contest against Calipatria (Calipatria, CA)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets meet the Calipatria Hornets (Calipatria, CA) in a Desert battle, on Thursday, May 11. Palo Verde Valley will attempt to advance on its 7-16 season record. The Hornets go into the battle with a 6-10 record after their 16-0 league loss to Imperial (Imperial, CA).
