In Thursday's league outing, the host Amherst County Lancers softball team scored a nice 11-1 win over the Glass Hilltoppers.
Coming up next, the Lancers battle the Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA) in a Seminole outing, on Friday, May 10. Amherst County will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Red Devils enter the outing with a 11-4 record after their 5-1 league win over Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA).
The Hilltoppers (4-11) will now prepare for their outing against William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Generals enter the non-league outing with a 8-9 record. In their last outing, William Campbell was routed by Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA), 12-0, in a league outing.
