The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Gilford Golden Eagles (Gilford, NH) and the host Belmont Red Raiders (Belmont, NH), saw Gilford's softball squad nip Belmont by a count of 3-0.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Newfound Regional for a Division III match on Saturday, May 11. Gilford will face a Bears squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Prospect Mountain (Alton, NH). The Bears record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Belmont falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Red raiders host Berlin (Berlin, NH) to face the Mountaineers in a Division III match on Friday, May 10. The Mountaineers enter the match with a record of 5-6. Berlin won 6-2 in their recent league match against Somersworth (Somersworth, NH)
