The Mattanawcook Lynx baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting George Stevens Academy Eagles to 1 in the Lynx league win on Friday.
The Lynx now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Foxcroft Academy for a Class C North test on Monday, May 12. Mattanawcook will play a Ponies team coming off a 8-3 league win over Washington Academy (East Machias, ME). The Ponies record now stands at 5-1.
With the defeat, George Stevens Academy drops to 2-6 on the year. The Eagles host Bucksport (Bucksport, ME) to play the Golden Bucks in a Class C North test on Monday, May 12. The Golden Bucks go into the test with a record of 3-5. Bucksport won 12-0 in their recent non-league test against Searsport (Searsport, ME)
