The Marvin Ridge Mavericks triumphed over the host Hough Huskies baseball squad by a score of 9-3 in Friday's non-league outing.
Next up, the Mavericks encounter the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, May 13. Marvin Ridge will attempt to advance on its 20-7 season record. The Spartans enter the outing with a 25-2 record after their 7-2 non-league win over Watauga (Boone, NC).
With the defeat, Hough drops to 19-5 on the year.
