The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Harlan Cyclones (Harlan, IA) and the visiting Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA), saw Harlan's baseball team gain a win over Denison-Schleswig by a tally of 5-1.

The Cyclones (11-5) will now prepare for their battle against Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA). The E'Hawks enter the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Emmetsburg held off Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA), 4-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Monarchs face the Red Oak Tigers (Red Oak, IA) in a Hawkeye 10 battle, on Monday, June 16. Denison-Schleswig will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 8-6 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Stanton (Stanton, IA).
