The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) and the visiting St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL), observed Providence Catholic's softball team get by St. Laurence by a tally of 5-2.

The Celtics (26-11) will now prepare for their bout against Glenwood (Chatham, IL). The Titans go into the non-league bout with a 35-1 record. In their last bout, Glenwood tipped Centralia (Centralia, IL), 2-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Prairie Ridge Wolves (Crystal Lake, IL) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, June 14. St. Laurence will attempt to move on its 23-8 season record. The Wolves come into the outing with a 28-1 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Antioch (Antioch, IL).
