The Fairfield Trojans routed the visiting Mt. Pleasant Panthers softball squad by a final score of 12-0 in Monday's league battle.

The Trojans (5-12) will now prepare for their battle against Washington (Washington, IA). The Demons go into the Southeast battle with a 20-4 record. In their last battle, Washington topped Central Lee (Donnellson, IA), 12-2, in a non-league battle.

The Panthers now possess a 2-15 record. They play next when they travel to Cardinal for a non-league battle on Wednesday, June 19. Mt. Pleasant will meet a Comets squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to Chariton (Chariton, IA). The Comets record now stands at 18-6.
