The Fairfield Trojans softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Mt. Pleasant Panthers to 0 in the Trojans league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Fairfield improves its record to 3-8 on the year. The Trojans travel to Washington (Washington, IA) to clash with the Demons in a Southeast game on Monday, June 10. The Demons come into the game with a record of 14-3. Washington won 5-3 in their recent non-league game against Jesup (Jesup, IA)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA) in a non-league game, on Monday, June 10. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record.
