The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA) softball routed the visiting Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA), 8-2 in Wednesday's league outing.
The Mustangs now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gilbert for a non-league outing on Thursday, June 19. Prairie City-Monroe will encounter a Tigers team coming off a 16-0 non-league win over Nevada (Nevada, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-7.
With the loss, Greene County moves to 6-9 on the season. The Rams host West Marshall (State Center, IA) to encounter the Trojans in a Heart of Iowa outing on Thursday, June 19. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 12-6.
