In Thursday's league test, the Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA) softball squad got by the visiting West Marshall Trojans (State Center, IA), by a final score of 5-4.

The Rams now possess a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nevada for a Heart of Iowa battle on Friday, June 20. Greene County will confront a Cubs team coming off a 19-0 non-league loss to East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Cubs record now stands at 2-12.

With the loss, West Marshall moves to 12-7 on the season. The Trojans host Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA) to confront the Bobcats in a non-league battle on Saturday, June 21. The Bobcats come into the battle with a record of 8-10.
