The crowd at Friday's league bout between the West Marshall Trojans (State Center, IA) and the visiting Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA), observed West Marshall's softball team get by Greene County by a tally of 7-5.

The Trojans (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Nevada (Nevada, IA). The Cubs go into the Heart of Iowa bout with a 2-6 record. In their last bout, Nevada by Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA), 13-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Rams battle the South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA) in a Heart of Iowa bout, on Monday, June 9. Greene County will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 10-3 league loss to Perry (Perry, IA).
