The Clarke Indians softball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Davis County Mustangs to 1 in the Indians non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Clarke moves its record to 6-11 on the year. The Indians host Van Meter (Van Meter, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Friday, June 21. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 27-1. Van Meter won 16-0 in their recent league game against Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center (Guthrie Center, IA)

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA) in a South Central game, on Monday, June 24. Davis County will attempt to improve on its 4-16 season record. The Chargers come into the test with a 11-7 record after their 14-9 league loss to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA).
