The Ballard Bombers softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Gilbert Tigers to 1 in the Bombers league win on Wednesday.

The Bombers now sport a 8-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carroll for a Raccoon River battle on Thursday, June 27. Ballard will confront a Tigers team coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to Boone (Boone, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-19.

With the loss, Gilbert moves to 12-15 on the season. The Tigers host Winterset (Winterset, IA) to confront the Huskies in a Raccoon River battle on Thursday, June 27. The Huskies come into the battle with a record of 19-17. Winterset lost 6-5 in their recent league battle against A-D-M (Adel, IA)
