The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA) and the host Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA), observed Winterset's softball team notch a victory over Gilbert by a final score of 13-4.

The Huskies (20-17) will now prepare for their bout against Carroll (Carroll, IA). The Tigers go into the Raccoon River bout with a 8-20 record. In their last bout, Carroll was routed by Ballard (Huxley, IA), 10-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, June 28. Gilbert will attempt to better on its 12-16 season record. The Cubs go into the bout with a 10-18 record after their 10-0 non-league win over South Tama County (Tama, IA).
