The Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) softball routed the host Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA), 11-5 in Thursday's league bout.
The Tigers (5-4) will now prepare for their bout against Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA). The Spartans go into the non-league bout with a 5-7 record. In their last bout, Grundy Center held off AGWSR (Ackley, IA), 10-0, in a league bout.
The Huskies now possess a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Atlantic for a non-league bout on Friday, June 7. Winterset will confront a Trojans squad coming off a 17-7 league win over Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 12-5.
