Game Summary
WILD WALK OFF SENDS LA SALLE TO FINALS
June 4, 2025 – In the OMG game of the year, the La Salle Academy Cardinals, rallied for six runs in the bottom of the seventh for a thrilling, 11-10 walk off win to send them into the CHSAA varsity baseball Intersectional ‘A’ Division 2025 Tournament Championship game. Waiting for La Salle is the number one seeded, Christ the King, who they would have to beat twice in this double elimination format.
Cardinal of the Game; senior, Henry Vasseur (1 for 2, 3HBP, K, GWRBI), set the home crowd of teachers and parents into a frenzy, driving the game winning single pass a drawn in infield, up the middle, scoring Anthony Gonzalez for the walk off hit after six straight Cardinals reached base in the bottom of the seventh. The wild scene was needed because Loughlin jumped all over La Salle in the early innings and built a 9-1 lead going into the bottom of the fifth and that’s when things got interesting.
