The Johnston Dragons baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Dowling Catholic Maroons to 3 in the Dragons league win on Thursday.

The Dragons now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Urbandale for a CIML test on Monday, June 9. Johnston will clash with a J-Hawks team coming off a 6-1 league loss to Waukee (Waukee, IA). The J-Hawks record now stands at 6-7.

With the defeat, Dowling Catholic drops to 2-4 on the year. The Maroons host Assumption (Davenport, IA) to clash with the Knights in a non-league test on Saturday, June 7. The Knights go into the test with a record of 8-4. Assumption won 7-6 in their recent non-league test against Davenport Central (Davenport, IA)
