In Thursday's league match, the host Nodaway Valley Wolverines softball team scored a tight 12-11 win over the Central Decatur Cardinals.

The Wolverines (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Wayne (Corydon, IA). The Falcons come into the Pride of Iowa match with a 7-0 record. In their last match, Wayne nipped Moravia (Moravia, IA), 9-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Moravia Mohawks (Moravia, IA) in a non-league match, on Monday, June 9. Central Decatur will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Mohawks come into the match with a 1-10 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Wayne (Corydon, IA).
