The Johnston Dragons triumphed over the host Urbandale J-Hawks baseball squad by a score of 8-2 in Monday's league outing.
Next up, the Dragons battle the Southeast Polk Rams (Pleasant Hill, IA) in a CIML outing, on Wednesday, June 11. Johnston will attempt to advance on its 10-6 season record. The Rams come into the outing with a 13-8 record after their 6-3 non-league loss to Valley (West Des Moines, IA).
The J-Hawks (6-9) will now prepare for their match against Northwest (Waukee, IA). The Wolves come into the CIML match with a 8-1 record. In their last match, Northwest got by Ankeny (Ankeny, IA), 12-4, in a league match.
