The Spearfish Spartans held off the host Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Friday's league match.
The Spartans now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Huron for a Class AA match on Friday, August 18. Spearfish will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Brandon Valley (Brandon, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 0-1.
