Red Oak Eagles (Red Oak, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Poteau Pirates (Poteau, OK), 9-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilburton for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 12.

With the loss, Poteau falls to 4-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host Sallisaw (Sallisaw, OK) to face the Black Diamonds in a 4A District 5 challenge on Monday, August 14. The Black Diamonds enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Sallisaw lost 1-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Gore (Gore, OK)
