The Hornets now have a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Picayune for a non-league game on Thursday, August 17. Poplarville will meet a Maroon Tide team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Poplarville (Poplarville, MS). The Maroon Tide record now stands at 1-6.

The Tigers (2-4) will now prepare for their game against St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, St. Martin gained a win over Gautier (Gautier, MS), 2-0, in a non-league game.
