In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Irwin County Indians softball team scored a tight 4-2 win over the Berrien Rebels.
The Indians (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Turner County (Ashburn, GA). The Titans come into the 1A D-II Region 2 match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Turner County by Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA), 30-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Rebels battle the Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, August 13. Berrien will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Syrupmakers come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 11-5 non-league loss to Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA).
