Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Heidelberg Oilers (Heidelberg, MS), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Tornadoes (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Natchez (Natchez, MS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Natchez lost by Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MS), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Oilers face the Richton Rebels (Richton, MS) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 14. Heidelberg will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Rebels come into the outing with a 0-3 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS).
