With the win, Heidelberg improves its record to 3-8 on the season. The Oilers host Bay Springs (Bay Springs, MS) to meet the Bulldogs in a Class 2A Region 6 contest on Monday, September 29. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a record of 2-5.

Next, the Golden Tornadoes meet the North Pike Jaguars (Summit, MS) in a Class 5A Region 3 test, on Tuesday, September 30. Laurel will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Jaguars go into the test with a 10-10 record after their 3-0 league loss to South Jones (Ellisville, MS).
