In Tuesday's non-league match, the Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) volleyball squad toppled the host R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), by a score of 3-1.

With the win, Polk County improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wolverines host A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC) to encounter the Rockets in a non-league battle on Wednesday, August 13. The Rockets go into the battle with a record of 0-0.

The Hilltoppers now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crest for a non-league contest on Thursday, August 14. R-S Central will battle a Chargers team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 0-1.
