Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) and the host Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC), saw Purnell Swett's volleyball squad notch a victory over Fairmont by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Purnell Swett improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Rams host Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC) to encounter the Raiders in a non-league battle on Thursday, August 14. The Raiders go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Richmond Senior lost 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against Lee County (Sanford, NC)

The Golden Tornadoes now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lumberton for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 14. Fairmont will meet a Pirates team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Hoke County (Raeford, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 1-0.
