The Wetumka Chieftains softball team scored 5 runs and held the host Weleetka Outlaws to 4 in the Chieftains league win on Thursday.

The Chieftains now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Haileyville for a Class A battle on Friday, August 15. Wetumka will confront a Warriors team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Crowder (Crowder, OK). The Warriors record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Weleetka moves to 2-2 on the season. The Outlaws host Okmulgee (Okmulgee, OK) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 26. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 0-5.
