Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team run past the host Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC), 3-0 in a league outing.

The Blue Devils now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they host West Iredell for a Western Foothills 4A/5A outing on Tuesday, August 19. Maiden will play a Warriors team coming off a 3-0 league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Bunker Hill drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Bandys (Catawba, NC) to confront the Trojans in a Western Foothills 4A/5A game on Tuesday, August 19. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 1-1. Bandys won 3-1 in their recent league game against East Lincoln (Denver, NC)
