The Knights (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Clear Springs (League City, TX). The Chargers enter the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Clear Springs beat St. John's (Houston, TX), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Longhorns meet the Nederland Bulldogs (Nederland, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 15. Tarkington will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Harlan (San Antonio, TX).
