Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) and the host North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC), saw Northwest Cabarrus's volleyball squad overcome North Rowan by a tally of 2-0.

The Trojans (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC). The Wonders come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, A.L. Brown was beaten by South Rowan (China Grove, NC), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cavaliers meet the Langtree Charter Academy Lions (Mooresville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 15. North Rowan will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Carolina International (Concord, NC).
