    In Monday's non-league match, the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC), by a count of 3-0.

    Next up, the Trojans confront the Salisbury Hornets (Salisbury, NC) in a South Piedmont 4A/5A bout, on Tuesday, September 16. Northwest Cabarrus will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC).

    With the loss, North Rowan drops to 1-10 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Union Academy (Monroe, NC) to battle the Cardinals in a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A match on Tuesday, September 16. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 12-2. Union Academy lost 3-0 in their recent non-league match against South Rowan (China Grove, NC)
