The East Carteret Mariners volleyball team (Beaufort, NC), was dropped 2-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge with the visiting Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC)

The Bulldogs (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Cardinals enter the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Jacksonville defeated Richlands (Richlands, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mariners meet the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 17. East Carteret will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC).
