The Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) softball the host Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA), 7-5 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Indians (2-4) will now prepare for their bout against Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA). The Rebels go into the non-league bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Fannin County by Paulding County (Dallas, GA), 8-0, in a non-league bout.

The Bobcats now possess a 0-7 record. They play next when they host White County for a 3A Region 7 bout on Thursday, August 17. Gilmer will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Commerce (Commerce, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-1.
